LHG was bestowed a very great honour to be able to participate in the 6th Edition of Tourism Johor Golf Tournament for Tunku Panglima Johor Challenge Trophy as a sponsor for the hole-in-one partnership. The event was graced by the presence of YAM Tunku Panglima Johor and Tunku Putera Johor who also participated in the tournament.
The tournament was played as an 18-hole format along the Ocean Course at The Els Club Desaru Coast, Johor Darul Takzim on 18 November 2023. Starting in 2017, the tournament has been staged annually to forge a stronger camaraderie among the golfing fraternities in Johor and other states we well.
LHG as an Authorised 4S Car Dealer in Johor for multiple brands put up 2 cars up for grabs. The first is a Toyota Corolla GR-S for the hole-in-one winner of the Ocean Coast Course – Hole No. 3 and a Perodua Aruz X for the Ocean Coast Course – Hole No. 6.
One participant came really close to ace the Ocean Coast Course – Hole No. 3. From the copper tees at 129 meters away, he shot with amazing accuracy to land the ball so close to the pin to almost bring home the Toyota Crolla GR-S. There was no similar exciting action on the Ocean Coast Course – Hole No. 6 for anyone to come close to winning a Perodua Aruz X.
As with any sport, the players would require sufficient hydration to continue playing. LHG is proud to be able to provide cold mineral waters to the golfers on the course. LHG was also granted a space to showcase our cars and a marketing booth for us to reach out to the guests and participants for their automotive needs.
LHG took the opportunity to display the Toyota GR86, Toyota Hilux GR-S at the tee box of the Lakes Course – Hole No.1, while the Toyota Camry & Perodua Ativa greeted everyone at the Front Entrance from the Clubhouse.
After all the golfers finished their round of 18, they took to the event hall for the prize giving and closing of the tournament. During the Lucky Draw session, LHG was once again granted the privilege to giveaway 10 units of the Toyota GR Umbrella!
This opportunity has truly given LHG the privilege to be part of JGTA’s efforts to promote and hype up Johor’s golf industry, create more value-add golf tournaments to make Johor as the top-of-mind golfing holiday destination for avid golfers, and their friends and families.
Should LHG be given another opportunity in the near future to be part of JGTA’s efforts to further boost the golf business in Johor, while also supporting in complementing industries such as tourism, F&B, we will not hesitate and will be honoured to be part of the efforts.
